IN
LIFE DO NOT QUIT....KEEP
PLAYING
God doesn't call the equipped,
rather,
He equips the 'called.'
When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to
begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that her child was
missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the
impressive Steinway on stage.
In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the
keyboard, innocently picking out -- "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance,
quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear: "Don't quit."
"Keep playing." Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left
hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to
the other side of the child, and he added a running obbligato.
Together, the old master and the young novice transformed
what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative
experience. The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what
else the great master played. Only the classic, " Twinkle, Twinkle Little
Star."
Perhaps that's the way it is with God. What we can
accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results
aren't always graceful flowing music...However, with the hand of the Master,
Our life's work can truly be beautiful.
The next time you set out to accomplish great feats,
listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your
ear, Don't quit." "Keep playing." May you feel His arms around you and know
that His hands are there, Helping you turn your feeble attempts into true
masterpieces.
Remember, God doesn't seem to
call the equipped, rather, He equips the 'called.' Life is more
accurately measured by the lives you touch than by the things you acquire.
So touch someone by passing this little message along. May God bless you and
be with you always!

Despite the possibilities afforded by advances in
technology, poverty continues to be one of the major problems in the world
today. According to the report of the United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization, for the year 2000, 826 million people are undernourished
PVAF IS SELF-BORN
WITH A MANDATE
TO TOUCH
SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE, SOMETIME
WITH KNOWLEDGE
TO REMOVE POVERTY
OF ANY KIND IN LIFE
The life anecdote in the left column was copied and
published today by PVAF from the new age phenomenon of constantly
circulating emails on the internet which PVAF received from one of its
volunteers....
At PVAF, the same theme: DO NOT QUIT....KEEP PLAYING has
kept PVAF serving its mandate to its capacity at a point in time....And that
PVAF service has funded full 4-year university education to 10 very poor
student from 1999 to 2005....And in 2006 PVAF has awarded another 6 very
poor students funds to complete their diploma or degree education in the
field of their choice. The life of all these students and their families is
changing after suffering poverty for many generations......Change is
drastic: Once the student graduates, the job earning is about 10,000 to
20,000 Indian Rupees per month compared to the family income of 2,000 Indian
Rupees per month without any education......
For PVAF donors the return on their donations cannot be
matched by any other available investments...AND THE DONOR IS TOUCHING
NOT JUST ONE PERSON BUT AN ENTIRE FAMILY SUFFERING DUE TO POVERTY SIMPLY
BECAUSE THE FAMILY HAS NO EMPLOYABLE FORMAL EDUCATION FOR THE CURRENT
JOB MARKET.....
Not only PVAF provided funding for education and living
and travelling expenses, but PVAF provided to all its students MENTORING AND
LIFECOACHING during university years.....and which is being continued to all
those who have graduated and are employed in good paying jobs....
Please click on the line outside this box to find out how
you can empower yourself to:
START TOUCHING SOMEBODY
WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT
and as PVAF donors know
ONCE YOU START,
THE JOY AND SATISFACTION OF
SEEING A ROSE BLOOM
empowers eternally
YOU YOURSELF TO NEVER
QUIT IN YOUR OWN LIFE....
BUT KEEP PLAYING FOR YOURSELF
and FOR OTHERS...... |
