2001 MEMORIES OF PVAF BLOSSOMING: CHIKHLI COMPUTER CENTER OPENING
Posted by Bhavin Champaklal Mistry on January 7, 2002

Prajaapati Vishva Aashram Foundation (PVAF) was conceived by many a prajaapatio in the world since early 1900s. But this baby took a long time to birth finally in 1997. After that the few first volunteer were always trying to find ways to bring all the estimated 2.5 million  prajaapatio in the world in this world house called prajaapati vishva aashram. It was in the year 2000 that one day shree chandrakant dahyabhai lad of Calgary, Canada, who was one the first few volunteers of PVAF, had an inspiration. Why not use the modern internet to connect all prajaapatio all the time no matter where one was. And thus was born the first social program of PVAF - Gujaraat Internet Connection Program. Why start with gujaraat - because that is where the roots of prajaapatio are believed to be and that is were majority of them still are.....

In the next few days we will be re-visiting through photos the first two years (2000-01) of the Gujarat Internet Connection Program.....its a memory full of prajaapatio, unknown to each other, living thousands of miles apart, walking together hand in hand...

...may bhagvaan keep this aatmaa-jyot burning...brighter and brightly...for ever...for the benefit of generations and generations to come.....

Subject: Photographs of Chikhli Computer Centre

This pictures are the opening ceremony at Chikhli Computer Centre in February 2001. Prajaapati Vishva Aashram Foundation (PVAF) donated the first computer for this Centre.

Shree Dalpatbhai Channabhai Mistry of Toronto is seen here inaugurating the computer as a representative of the donors from Toronto Shree Prajaapati Mandal in Ontario, Canada.

During my speech to all members of Executives of chikhli samaaj and families at large, I emphasized that this donations received by PVAF are from all our prajaapatio families and our samaajo from UK, Canada and USA. These donors have given from within their hearts and without any hesitation. These donations are for this Gujaraat Internet Connection Program. The donations are given to set up computers in the samaaj on a priority of the need for financial assistance of the samaaj families. The names of the donor samaajo are displayed at this Centre on a plaque as seen in one of the photo. Similar plaques are displayed at all other Computer Centers - navasaari, bilimora, vaapi, baardoli, surat, killa-paardi in Gujarat which received donations from PVAF

Here is the opportunity to take the advantage of this wonderful gift not only to connect to all prajaapatio in the world but also to teach computer use and technology to our children.

Also we should do not forget the every day hardship and time commitment of the volunteers to run this program and your local education programs in gujaraat, India. Without their support and donations from outside and inside gujaraat these education programs would not have happened. So my heartily appreciations goes to all volunteers in India who are devoting their time to give education and also , organize and achieve this wonderful education program which is the only thing that will take us out of poverty and into prosperity.

Also my sincere thanks goes to all our samaajo around the world for their dedication in raising the funds when ever PVAF volunteers approach for their assistance. Finally I would like to end this short message.

IF YOU GIVE A ROTLO TO A POOR MAN

THAT WOULD PROVIDE HIM FOOD FOR ONE DAY.

BUT IF WE TEACH HIM HOW TO FARM AND GIVE HIM ALL RESOURCES TO FARM

THEN THAT WOULD GIVE HIM FOOD FOR REST OF HIS LIFE.

Regards

Chandrakant Dahyabhai Lad
Volunteer Leader of Gujaraat Internet Connection Program,
Prajaapati Vishva Aashram Foundation
