PVAF DEVELOPING A TRUE PHONETICS BASED SPELLING SYSTEM FOR SANSKRIT AND GUJARAATI LANGUAGES WHEN WRITTEN IN ENGLISH ON A NORMAL KEYBOARD

At PVAF, the basic mandate is to live by gnaan (knowledge) and to perform all karma by gnaan and to share gnaan with all the fellow creations....that is the only way humans can continually evolve to increasing prosperity in all parts of life.....

Phonetics is vital in sanskrit and gujaraati and a slight different pronunciation  could mean a totally different meaning......A new system of spelling in English of sanskrit and gujaraati words is being developed by PVAF for true phonetics as spoken in sanskrit and gujaraati languages. We believe this system of spelling is quite different from any version prevalent anywhere in the world and which can be used on normal English keyboard. The alphabets of this new spelling system will be presented on the Language Page on this web site soon.

Till then those who know sanskrit and gujaraati will find the system presented here phonetically true...although may seem funny and wacky because of its newness...but we must pronounce sanskrit and gujaraati words correctly when written in English script otherwise the meanings could come out funny and wacky too.......

With respect: It is nice to have such promotional views. But my belief and with so many people I have discussed, they would like to keep the tradition of English spellings we are used to. To use suddenly the TRUE PHONETICS will confuse many. So let us use proper English spellings that we are used to and bring the other TRUE PHONETICS slowly.
