Yesterday a call for STUDENT LIFE COACH was posted and can be emailed by just clicking on the words...

PVAF's program ideas and plan are based on ved and dharma by which PVAF operates. This needy for guiding prajaapati students at the family level has been there in ved since the start of this creation cylce....here is an example in the slok 2.50.226 in naarad puraan:

"Studies carried on
 with the help of the books only
 and
 without the guidance and mentoring of
 a guru;
 do not shine
 in the assembly of learned men;
 similar to a woman impregnated by a lover other than her husband."

The first guru of a child is the jointly birth parents. The mother teaches sanskaar meaning virtuous habits and behavior based on dharma to the child. The father teaches about the purushaarth of life meaning the four objectives of life. These purushaarth are:

  • to create artha meaning wealth and involve in politics of social governance for sustenance of life by one's own effort;
  • to perform karma related to kaam which means fulfilling all desires and wishes including recreation and pleasures;
  • to achieve both of the above by following rules of dharma; and
  • to have attainment of moksh as the ultimate objective meaning to attain knowledge that oneself and creator brhmah are ONE.

In the continuing survey that is being conducted to learn about why prajaapati community in gujaraat has so much illiteracy from one generation to another which translates to poverty from one generation to another....it has been discovered that prajaapati communities do not have any form of

 structured life counseling or mentoring

 in any prajaapati samaaj....starting from an individual family to organized samaajo.....

.... here is an example from a student application where a student takes a university study with no potential for employment:

"After completion of B.E. in Production Engineering. , I have decided to do M.E. (Master of Engineering.). I will have to study two year in M.E. then I will be able to get job as a lecturer . I want to pursue this study, because I can easily get a job in any Engineering college. I have decided to study this course part time.  Because of unemployment in the production industry and on the base of B.E. in Production Engineering, there is some difficulty in getting job. But it is easy to get a job as a lecturer.  In a production company, starting salary is 4000/- to 5000/- Rs. per month but as a lecturer starting salary is 8000/- Rs. per month. I can doing my job in Gujarat & outside of Gujarat."

It takes a minimum of Rs 4000 per month for a family of four to live from hand to mouth and after inheriting a free house to live in.....The above noted student is already in the 3rd year of a 4-year course which is costing Rs 18,000 a year....had this student be guided properly he/she would not be in this terrible bind...  .

    • to learn about ones' dharma,
    • to learn about  value of one's language root, traditions, customs and heritage;
