A Recently Spotted Bumper Sticker:

"My KARm ran over your Dogma"

From Webster's Third New International Dictionary, DOGMA means:

  • something held as an established opinion; especially one or more definite and authoritative tenets; ( a tenet is defined as a principle, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true especially in case of a tenet held in common by members of an organization, group, movement, or profession; eg. two great tenets of physical sciences are observation and deduction. In past tenets also included personal opinion.)
  • a code or systematized formulation of such tenets as by a  theoretician or a school of art or philosophy;
  • a point of view or alleged authoritative tenet put forth as dogma without adequate grounds as in arrogant or vehement expression of opinion;
  • a doctrine or body of doctrines of theology and religion formally stated and authoritatively proclaimed by a church.
