VEDIC VARNA SYSTEM & VEDIC LIFESTYLE IS NOT AFFECTED BY BHUJ QUAKE
Posted by Vishva News Reporter on February 8, 2001

Vedic belief, lifestyle and heritage is the foundation of IndiaN peoples as a nation of 800 diverse tribes living in harmony. Vedic peoples of India also have lived in harmony with other peoples of belief and lifestyles such as Moslems, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Bhuddists, etc for many milleniums.

The proof that Vedic life system still exists since creation and is well and alive was seen at the devastation sites in Kutch. One could see the belief in the four varna system in most of the camp sites in devastated area. The four Creator ordained varna are Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaisya and Sudra. Also there is the societally created fifth varna which encompases all the people although Vedic but who do not fit into the four varna because of many social reasons such as intermarraiges, outcastes, etc. Each of the five varna have been observed to have their own separate camp site for homeless. Also a separate camp for muslims were observed. Muslim population is estimated to be at 20 percent of the total population in India.b

But harmony is still the central theme of co-existance in Vedic lifestyle. During this quake, everybody has been helping everybody else regardless of varna or belief classification as at the end of the day Vedic peoples believe all are crations of the same Creator. As it says in Ved the varna system is just for orderly management and administraton of Vedic lifestyle.
