DAY 26: GUJARAT QUAKE: STILL SHAKING GROUND & BUILDERS & INSPIRES KINDNESS

10 BUILDERS ARRESTED IN AMDAVAD: Among the ten builders arrested so far for sub-standard construction in light of collapsed buildings during the January 26th quake, are three builders who constructed a 4 storey school in two months. This school collapsed burying 32 of the 70 students gathered for Republic Day celebrations.

KUTCH STILL QUAKING: Two and six aftershocks panicked people in Kutch region on Monday and Tuesday February 19th and 20th respectively with an intensity ranging between 3.0 to 4.1. The total aftershocks since January 26th big one is now 388.

MAHARASHTRA STATE BROTHERHOOD TAKES ON LARGE QUAKE RECONSTRUCTION: Maharashtra State whIch borders Gujarat state on west and south sides has pledged to raise 100 crore rupees for Gujarat quake re-construction plan. The Maharashtra state has already taken responsibility to reconstruct 71 villages totalled by the quake.
