IS RAISING A CHILD BY PARENTS
 A COST
OR
 sv-DHARm CALLED
piTRu-DHARm & maaTRu-DHARm?

From: The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:

Today, American parents pay up to $250,000 (U.S.) for the basic needs of a child, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This includes food, shelter, clothing, health care and education for one child through age 17. Not included are optional extras such as orthodontia, music and sports lessons and college costs.....

In western countries who pays for children's education is a issue which has created a lot of stresses on the children and parents and governments who are expected to bear all the costs which the parents could not or would not bear.....The results of these cost stresses which starts during the early years of child raising are physical, mental, emotional and spiritual disorders called lifestyle diseases such as depressions, peer attachements, child-parent disconnections, auto0immune diseases such as asthma, diabetes, colitis, Crohn's arthritis and now unexplained types of cancer....These diseases should not be affecting peoples of western civilization who have so much wealth to live with modern life amenities and be healthy...

Please click on the next line to learn about the veDik lifestyle which had all the sciences to create wealth and enjoy that wealth without getting sick with the modern lifestyle diseases...

VEDIK LIFESTYLE OFFERS
 NON-STRESS LIFE THROUGH
 DHARm and LIFE aaSRm SUPPORT

SCIENCES OF CREATION AND LIFE called veD stipulates that it is parents DHARm to nourish and bring-up child with all its educational needs through its bRH`mchaaARy aaSRm. This nourishment and education should be such that the child grows into an adult who then becomes a gRUHs`TH meaning a married adult with his own household. By DHARm parents are expected also to assist the child who has become a gRUHs`TH with continuing life education and partial finances to start his own household till the child can fully support himself.

As a gRUHs`TH male, it will be his sv-DHARm to support his wife and children, parents who need support and all those who need support in life because of their involuntary and nature-based inability to provide life support for themselves.

As per veD, gRUHs`TH aaSRm supports the remaining 4 aaSRm of life which are:

  1.  bRH`mchaaARy-aaSRm,
  2. vnspr-aaSRm which follows gRUHsTH aaSRm after one's children are married and settled and
  3. sNn`yaas-aaSRm which follows vnspr-aaSRm when one becomes old enough around 70 years of age to retire from life activities and devote time in pursuit of aat`maa-GNaan or self-knowledge and search for meaning of life lived to that stage.

In western civilization a child on attaining 17 years of age is expected to support himself. After 17 years of age a child literally severs the support system bond with its parents. And due this severance, the child-parent relationship bond also gradually evaporates. This also creates the notion in the child that as an adult he/she is not obligated to provide any support to anybody in the same way that he/she has been left to fend for himself/herself. This creates the "me" world where each person becomes selfish to fend for oneself.

In western civilizations, in current times dating back to about 50 years. those persons who are unable to provide their own life support systems depend on various government agencies funded by tax systems.

Various social studies in all western countries have proven that this "me and them" type of life support system creates a very stressful life during student life, start of an employment, start of a married life, through out married life, during raising children and then in retirement life.

Whereas in veDik lifestyle the support system continues in all 4 aaSRm in an interactive and integrated and continual manner. This lifestyle methodology assures that every human is assured through the family and aaSRm system of life supports in any stage of life as explained above. In this veDik lifestyle everyone follows DHARm to support oneself and others who need life support. This way well-being and welfare in life is assured sustainance and enhancement of overall life quality including well-being and welfare by removing the stresses.
