In the village of SEVNI in
KAMREJ taalukaa in
Gujarat, at 8.30 pm on June 7, 2004
a devastating fire burned down 8 houses of members of pRjaapti smaaj.
This
fire burned and destroyed completely all the 8 houses with all the belongings
of the 8 families who owned the houses. The families living in these houses
were put out on the street with the clothes they were wearing.
The 8 families who suffered the above misfortune can be classified as
families with average life means. Presently it is the rainy season and all the
8 families are living in Sevni with benevolent, generous and kind-hearted
families who have offered them temporary shelter and food till the 8 houses
can be rebuilt.
This is a great life disaster for the 8 families who have lost everything
they had in life. All the houses will have to be totally rebuilt. All the
house will have to be again furnished with furniture, kitchenware, clothes and
all things a normal household has.
It is the sacred duty of all of us to rebuilt the
houses and the lives of these 8 families.
